This sign struck me; the President of the United States is supposed to be something that children can dream of becoming. The office is supposed to be held by someone they can look up to, and aspire to be like. Right now, though, that could not be further from the truth.

I participated because I felt I needed to be a part of something that was standing in opposition to the direction our country seems to be heading. I needed to be around like-minded individuals who understood that this is wrong; that the election of Donald Trump, and the oppression and regression that his administration symbolizes are simply unacceptable.
