Abstract
This short article on family living appeared in Broome County Living magazine, published by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Broome County, New York, and is part of a collection of such articles available on the Open Repository at Binghamton University. This article reviews the benefits of playgroups for both parents and children. Playgroups are defined as gatherings attended by a parent (usually mother) with their very young children. Rationale and encouragement to parents to reach out via such groups are followed by local resource listings.
