Abstract
In this episode, we chat with Andrew Nelson, a first year PhD student in Comparative Literature, about his love of literature. He explains how literature deals in history but in more robust and nuanced ways. He also gives us insight into his favorite authors and how they create characters that attempt to describe that which us illegible, and what draws him to that. He reads a favorite passage from Herman Melville’s Moby Dick.
