Abstract
An experimental study has been performed in order to study the nuclear structure in odd-odd In isotopes.
Low-lying nuclear energy levels in 110In and 112In were determined from de-excitation γ-rays produced with 107Ag(α,nγ)110In, 108Pd(6Li,4nγ)110In, 109Ag(α,nγ)112In and 110Pd(6Li,4nγ)112In reactions. In addition, the 114In energy level structure was investigated with the 110Pd(7Li,3nγ)114In reaction. Properties of de-excitation γ-rays were determined from γ–γ coincidence, excitation, and angular distribution measurements conducted with Ge(Li) and Ge(intr.) γ-ray detectors.
A sequence of intraconnected levels in each of 110,112,114In were assigned to the (g9/2-1, h11/2) configuration.
For the 110,112,114In energy level schemes a model calculation has been performed using the pairing-plus-quadrupole model, which reproduced states of the (g9/2-1, h11/2) multiplets quite well. A value of the proton-neutron coupling constant χnp of about 0.25 MeV was obtained for all three In isotopes.
